A festival strategist/publicist with more than 25 years experience, KATHLEEN McINNIS employs long-range strategic planning and targeted publicity to help emerging world-cinema filmmakers cultivate new audiences and launch careers from the global film festival circuit platform.
Under her company banner See-Through Films, Kathleen and her team design premiere publicity campaigns to ensure the films, and filmmakers, reach their goals.
Previously Director of Programming at Aspen Shortsfest, International Short Cuts Programmer at Toronto Int'l Film Festival and Festival Director at Palm Springs ShortsFest, Kathleen is currently the Curator of Seattle International Film Festival’s New Works-in-Progress Forum for Documentary and Narrative Features.
Kathleen also has served as a festival strategist and project development mentor at BAL Labs (Buenos Aries Labs), Hot Docs International Film Festival (Canada), Koszalin Film Festival for Debut Filmmakers (Poland), CineMart (International Film Festival Rotterdam), Galway Film Fleadh (Ireland), and at Berlinale Talents during the Berlin Film Festival. Kathleen has presented keynotes at Winterthur International ShortFilm Festival (Switzerland) and Kreativni Evropa-Media’s Intelligent Audience Design (Czech), and has been on been on festival juries at the Norwegian Short Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, Seattle International Film Festival, Winterthur Film Festival, SXSW, Indie Lisboa and Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival.
