The HollyShorts Film Conference presented by Method Studios is set for August 14-21 at IgnitedSpaces in Hollywood, CA. Film LA kicks off the conference with their opening panel and party on the first Friday of the fest which is presented in association with Stage 32.
A principal part of the HollyShorts Film Festival, the HollyShorts Film Conference showcases a diverse group of thought leaders and innovators in the entertainment industry including Execs and Speakers from Film LA, Stage 32, Evil Slave, Final Draft, Slated, Daily Motion, Zype, indi.com, Dream Team Directors and the Los Angeles Music Video Festival. Writers, Content Creators and multi-hyphenates can gain valuable insight into creating, producing and distributing film projects in an ever-changing media landscape through informative panel discussions. mentoring sessions and networking opportunities. Attendees will all enjoy opportunities to engage with the industry and fellow filmmakers at our famous Panel Parties including a hosted bar from Dark Horse Wines, Peroni beers and Deep Eddy Vodka nightly.

Eric Conner, Hollyshorts Film Conference Weekend MC & Dean of Students New York Film Academy.
Eric received his MFA from the University of Southern California, where he received a $15,000 Sloan Scholarship for his feature script Just Enough. His screenplay was also one of four accepted into the Hamptons Film Festival Writer’s Lab, under the mentorship of James V. Hart and Susan Rice. Eric worked as a production manager on the documentary The Cutting Edge: The Story of Cinema Editing. Interview subjects included Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Sean Penn. Eric is the Dean of Students at New York Film Academy and teaches as part of the screenwriting department. He was previously commissioned by NYFA to write the original one-act play / short film The Also-Rans.
