Hollywood and Austin February 5, 2015HollyShorts is once again returning to SXSW with 2 signature events celebrating independent filmmakers. HollyShorts is teaming up with partner Dailymotion for a special HolyShorts SXSW alumni filmmaker happy hour cocktail reception. HollyShorts has several alumni with official selections in the festival including Todd Strauss-Schulson (The Master Cleanse), who will be premiering his film The Final Girls in the narrative feature spotlight. The Final Girls stars Taissa Farmiga, Malin Akerman, Adam DeVine, Thomas Middleditch, Alia Shawkat, Alexander Ludwig and Nina Dobrev. HollyShorts 2014 Best narrative winner Krisha directed by Trey Edward Shults has been turned into a feature and is also an official selection in the narrative feature category. Krisha stars Krisha Fairchild, Robyn Fairchild, Bill Wise, Chris Doubek, Olivia Grace Applegate, Chase Joliet, Alex Dobrenko, Bryan Casserly, Augustine Frizzell, and Trey Edward Shults.

In addition, HollyShorts will help celebrate the launch of filmmaker and actress Meredith Riley Stewart’s hilarious new web series Southern Dish with a special

premiere reception featuring stand-up comedy, sexy dancers and live indie rock, all taking place at the Spider House Café (Chapel tent) in association with The Show Austin.
