It was a busy week for the HollyShorts team. HSFF is on the fast track and it’s no where close to August. On Wednesday HollyShorts teamed up with the Digital Hollywood Content Summit for a day of impactful panels and a special screening at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey capped off with Luke Wilson presenting his award winning short Satellite Beach to a packed ballroom.
On Friday Festival Director Daniel Sol had a special guest Lecture at USC for over 150 film students discussing what to do and not to do when making a short.
HollyShorts Studios also launched a Kickstarter campaign on Friday night for its first original series INFINITY, an epic action adventure potential franchise starring Raquel Pomplun, Jaylen Moore, Yassine Azzouz and Kelly Albanese.
HollyShorts on Friday officially became a partner with Humans in Space Art Program and Waterstone Entertainment for the Humans in Space Art Video Challenge. The Humans in Space Art Program is working with NASA’s International Space Station Program to encourage the creation of videos focused on the future of space, science and technology, and its impact on Earth. They are accepting shorts 3 minutes or less for the contest, winner gets a $5k cash prize and their movie played in space!
